John Fulcoly is a recognized change agent with 25 years experience delivering sustainable results!
John Fulcoly has delivered strong results to consumer product, food, and beverage industries from many vantage points. Beginning as material scientist with a BS in Food Science and MS in Packaging Science John supported primary material research for Pharmaceutical new products. Moving into packaging development John applied his strong technical skills to optimize value and performance for the Equal, Metamucil, Icy Hot and Dramamine Brands. Steadily advancing through packaging and procurement roles in a 20 year career at Frito-Lay John combined his technical skills with a strong acumen for business and financial analysis to develop and build value through packaging categories.
Responsible for a North American Food Packaging Category, John challenged the status quo to develop and set strategies and lead internal and external teams to achieve world leading results for cost, capability, speed to market, innovation, and quality. Deep savings did not come at the expense of margins, but rather from implementing structural cost savings and as a result supplier productivity and consistency levels improved as well.
John was hired in as a change agent to Lance Inc. as Senior Director of Packaging Procurement. In one year John reorganized and staffed the team changing it from a "Buying" to a "Strategic Sourcing" function delivering more than $6,000,000 savings across corrugate, plastic trays, flexible packaging and prepress categories. Results were achieved combining strong market and cost analysis, target cost, opitimizing sourcing and supply chain tactics, and negotiating win/win outcomes.
As an independent John has continued his strong record of delivering results for clients in the dairy, food, and packaging businesses.
John is a member of the Institue of Packaging Professionals (IOPP), active in the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA), a certifiedLean Six Sigma Green Belt and working towards a Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) certification.
